Neat and sweet – our new studio
January 8th and 9th 2016 were a busy couple days at our studios for Dave Foster, Rob Ashard, Steve Anthony and Mike Brill.
You may remember that we sourced two mixers with some brand new spares mid 2015 from ex 70's Caroline DJ Ian Anderson, when his station in the Shetland Islands updated its own equipment. Coupled with a bigger frame than our current mixer a couple of years ago, a bigger and effectively much newer mixer has been created, and it has now finally been installed.
We also took the opportunity to re-arrange the layout of the room, ahead of splitting the area into two. This revealed areas that haven't been disturbed for years, so hoovering and cleaning was involved too.
Our resident IT expert Mike Brill took the opportunity to service the many computers involved in streaming Radio Caroline around the globe.
We also put all the computers and our Broadcast Warehouse DSPX Mini HD processing equipment in a new (to us!) equipment rack, so it's all much neater.
